A meeting of facility management experts was held in Prague on 9 November 2015, whose participants decided to establish association for cooperation and sharing of experience and knowledge in this area. Among other things, they agreed on the principle that the union does not want to compete with other associations and professional societies such as Euro FM, Global FM and IFMA. Its aim is closer cooperation between organizations in Central and Eastern Europe, because the CEE area has its own specific development here.
Memorandum of cooperation with Slovak Council for Green Buildings was signed in September 2014.
